Dordt College Softball vs. Ottawa (Kansas)

(Olathe, Kansas) The Dordt College Defender softball team allowed six runs in the first two innings and were beaten in their third game of the day on Friday, February 1, 7-3 by the Ottawa (Kansas) Braves. Dordt's Jaclyn VerMulm had a run scoring double in the loss and Amanda Nikkel took the loss on the mound, settling down after a rough start to allow just one run over the final five innings. Sarah Seymour had two of Dordt's five hits and Suzi Butier and Sarah Visser each had singles in the loss.

Dordt is 1-2 for the day and will find out their pairing for day two at the Pioneer Classic late tonight.
