Dordt College Softball vs. Nebraska Wesleyan

(Sioux Center, Iowa) The Dordt College Defender softball season came to an end on Wednesday night with an 11-0 win by the Nebraska Wesleyan Prairie Wolves over the homestanding Defenders. The story of the game was Wesleyan's Alysia Wittmaack. The Wesleyan pitcher limited Dordt to one hit and no walks, facing one batter over the minimum in the six inning contest that was shortened due to the eight run differential rule.
Wesleyan scored three in the third another one in the fourth and then erupted for seven runs in the sixth inning. Dordt's lone hit was a double by Amber Soodsma.
Dordt's Sarah Visser took the loss, allowing eight hits while walking one and striking out six.
Dordt finishes the season with a 2-22 conference record and a 5-33 overall mark while Wesleyan's regular season ends with the Prairie Wolves at 12-12 in the league and 22-16 overall.
