Dordt College Softball vs. Doane

(Crete, Nebraska) The Dordt College softball team lost an 8-0 decision to the Doane Tigers in Great Plains Athletic Conference play on Friday, April 4 in Crete, Nebraska. The game was the conference opener for the Defenders.

Doane scored one each in the first and third and plated six in the fifth to end the game with two outs in the bottom of the inning and an eight run difference.

Dordt was limited to one hit, a Sarah Visser single and committed three errors.

Doane got nine hits off of Visser, who took the loss while allowing five earned and four unearned runs with three strikeouts and one walk. Joy Vasa was the winner with one walk and three strikeouts.

Doane is 13-4 overall and 6-1 in the GPAC while Dordt is 3-12 and 0-1 heading into game two of the twinbill.
