Dordt College Softball vs. Dakota Wesleyan

(Sioux Center, Iowa) Dordt struggled again in game 2 of their double header and lost 10-1 to Dakota Wesleyan.

Once again, Dakota Wesleyan got off to an early start but in this game never had to look back. They scored 1 in the 1st, 2 in the 2nd and took advantage of Dordt defensive errors in the third inning for seven more runs. Dordt put 1 on the board in the 4th but was not unable to come back and fell 10-1.

Wesleyan scored 10 runs on 7 hits and made 1 error. Dordt scored 1 run on 2 hits and committed 3 errors. Liz DeVries and Jaclyn VerMulm accounted for the two hits and VerMulm knocked in Dordt's only run. Visser pitched all 5 innings and gave up 10 hits but only 4 earned runs.

Dordt falls to 2-18 in the conference and 5-28 overall while Dakota Wesleyan improves to 10-9 in the conference and 13-19 overall.
