(Fremont, Nebraska) The Dordt College Defender softball team surrendered six runs in the bottom of the second inning in game one of their doubleheader with Midland Lutheran Saturday afternoon in Fremont, Nebraska and lost a final decision of 6-0.

The Warriors reached Dordt starter Carissa Van Gorp for four straight hits with two outs to force Dordt to the bullpen, countering with Tessa Prins, four hits later the Warriors had a six run lead that would stand up the rest of the way as the Warriors got just two hits in the other five frames.

Dordt was limited to four hits with Amber Daane banging out two hits and Jaclyn Ver Mulm and Tessa Prins each singling.

Van Gorp is tagged with the loss, working one and two-thirds innings, getting charged with five earned runs on five hits with one strikeout. Prins went four and a one-third innnings and was charged with one run on five hits with two walks and three strikeouts. Rachel Thies got the win for the hosts, allowing four hits, walking five and striking out eight.
