Dordt College Softball vs. Doane

(Sioux Center, Iowa) Dordt met up with Doane on Saturday afternoon for a double header but failed in the 1st game losing 7-1.

Doane started off the scoring putting 3 on the board in the first and another in the 3rd. Dordt put up a run of their own in the 3rd but were unable to keep up with Doane as they scored another in the 4th and 2 more in the 5th. Final Score: Dordt-1 Doane-7.

Doane scored 7 runs on 9 hits and made 1 error while Dordt scored 1 run on 3 hits and committed 4 errors. Sarah Boer had 2 of the 3 hits and Amanda Pothoven nailed the other. Prins pitched 7 innings and gave up 9 hits and 5 earned runs.

Dordt falls to 2-20 in the conference and 5-30 overall while Doane improves to 8-12, 21-19 overall.
