(Orange City, Iowa) The Northwestern Red Raiders took a 5-2 decision over the Dordt College Lady Defenders in game one of their rain-delayed contest at Orange City, Iowa Tuesday night. The game originally began on April 18 but was suspended with Northwestern leading 3-2. The Red Raiders then scored two runs in the fourth and fifth innings.
Megan Raman had a double and Amanda Pothoven was credited with her sixth homerun of the season for the Lady Defenders. Melanie Fisher, Stacy Lyon and Liz Swanson had two hits a piece for Northwestern. Megan McHugh took the win, surrendering five hits while Carissa Van Gorp took the loss, giving up seven hits an three earned runs.
