Dordt College Softball vs. Nebraska Wesleyan

(Sioux Center, Iowa) The Nebraska Wesleyan Prairie Wolves beat the Dordt College Lady Defenders in game one of their conference doubleheader 3-2 in ten innings. The Lady Defenders scored their first run in the second inning when Lisa Moore doubled in Mandy Visser. Wesleyan scored two in the fourth inning to take the lead but Dordt responded with a run in the home half of the inning on a Beth Davelaar single that scored Amanda Pothoven. Wesleyan eventually broke the tie when Vicki Ortemier scored on a Lindsey Bailey double.

Carissa Van Gorp took the loss, allowing three runs on 11 hits while Ortmeier took the win, allowing two runs on seven hits. Lisa Moore had a pair of hits, one a double and Beth Davelaar had two singles. Lindsay Bailey, Mollie Seim and Megan Reynolds all had two hits for Wesleyan.
