Dordt College Women's Soccer vs. Nebraska Wesleyan

The Dordt College women hung with Nebraska Wesleyan for one half, but allowed two second-half goals en route to a 3-1 loss on Senior Day.
Senior Sarah Byron scored a 30th-minute goal that tied the game at one in the first half – her first goal of the season. Byron’s tally sent the Defenders into halftime at a 1-1 tie after Nebraska Wesleyan’s Maggie Bianco had given her team a 1-0 lead early on.
However, Bianco struck again in the 53rd minute. Her second goal of the game came off a corner kick and gave the Prairie Wolves a 2-1 advantage.
Megan Witcig put the game out of reach with a 77th-minute strike that beat senior keeper Katie Kortman.
Kortman finished the game with eight saves and solidified her single-season saves record, finishing the year with 152 stopped shots.
Dordt College was outshot 20-5 on the game.
The Defenders finished the year at 0-17-1 (0-9-1), and the Prairie Wolves finished at 9-3-6 (5-2-3).
