Dordt College Women's Soccer vs. Hastings

(Sioux Center, Iowa) The Dordt College Defender women’s soccer team was on the short end of a 7-2 decision with Hastings on Saturday in Sioux Center.

Hastings scored in the 7th minute and then followed with a pair of Amanda Olson goals in the 25th and 46th minutes. Olson would later score a third goal, that one in the 66th minute. Kelsey Nealon also had a multiple goal game for the Broncos with counters in the 55th and 61st minutes.

Dordt got its goals in the 78th and 85th minutes when Ashley Bloemhof deflected a shot off the keeper and Megan Knapper scored the second goal for the Defenders.

Katie Kortman stopped 14 shots in goal for the Defenders while Mallory Taylor faced just the two shots on goal and let them both by.

Dordt is 0-6 in the GPAC and 0-14 overall while Hastings improves to 5-1 and 9-4-1 overall.

Dordt will host Northwestern on Tuesday in GPAC play.
