Dordt College Women's Soccer vs. Morningside

(Sioux Center, Iowa) The Dordt College Defender women's soccer team lost a 2-0 decision to Morningside Tuesday afternoon in Sioux Center, Iowa in Great Plains Athletic Conference play.

The Defenders surrendered a goal in each half and were outshot on goal 11-4 in the final regular season game for the visitors from Sioux City.

Morningside got its first goal in the 25th minute with Kelsey Niles taking the ball away and going top right corner agianst Dordt's Emily Holz. The 1-0 score stood into the second half when Lydia Bienlien snuck one past Holz who had come out to get the ball that was crossed.

Dordt falls to 0-8-1 in the GPAC and 1-13-3 overall while Morningside improves to 5-3-2 and 9-5-4. Dordt finishes its season on the road at Hastings this Saturday, October 27.
