Dordt College Women's Soccer vs. Doane

(Sioux Center, Iowa) The Doane College Tigers banged out a 6-0 win over the Dordt Defenders in women's soccer Saturday afternoon, October 20, in Great Plains Athletic Conference action.

Doane scored in the 10th minute when Ally Tamerius knocked in the first counter of the contest and Sara Cushing tacked on a goal in the 14th minute for a 2-0 lead that stood till halftime.

Jen Cushing got the scoring going in the second half with a goal in the 59th minute on an assist from Mia Juarez, one of two goals Juarez assisted on. Juarez scored two straight in the 64th and 65th minutes and Meghan Voight closed the scoring for the 6-0 final in the 80th minute.

Dordt was outshot on goal 17-0 with Emily Holz making nine saves for the Defenders. Dordt falls to 1-12-3 overall and 0-7-1 in the GPAC. Doane improves to 5-3 in the league and 9-5 overall.

Dordt will host Morningside on Tuesday, October 23 in its final home game of the season.
