(Fremont, Nebraska) Dordt College found the going tough in women's soccer on Saturday in Fremont, Nebraska against the Midland Warriors. Dordt was limited to one shot and was outscored 6-1 in the league contest.

Midland broke through with a goal in the seventh minute and followed with another in the 28th minute.

Dordt's Meghan Warners cut the lead in half with a goal in the 40th minute off an assist by Marissa Le Duc but the hosts got a score off an on goal by the Defenders to make it 3-1 going into halftime. Midland scored goals in the 52nd and 57th minute, the second of which was Lauren Gray's second goal of the game. Midland made the final 6-1 with a goal in the 85th minute. Midland is 3-2-2 in league play while the Defenders now stand 0-5-1 in the GPAC with four games remaining. The Defenders will travel to Briar Cliff on Tuesday before returning home to face Doane on Saturday, October 20.
