(Sioux Center, Iowa) Dordt lost a 3-0 decision to Avila (Kansas) this afternoon on the pitch in Sioux Center, Iowa. With offensive chances at a premium, Dordt was outshot 8-2 with the first goal for Avila coming in the ninth minute on an Alyssa D'Eqidio score. Jaime Nilica made it 2-0 in the 73rd minute off an assist by Tracie Geile, her second of the game. Caryn Welch then knocked in an insurance goal in the 78th minute for the final of 3-0.

Dordt's Katie Kortman had five saves in goal.

Dordt is 0-2-1 while Avila improves to 3-2. Dordt will travel to Mount Mercy in Cedar Rapids, Iowa on Wednesday.
