(St. Louis, Missouri) The Dordt College Defender women's soccer team found itself on the short end of a 2-1 score in non-conference action at Missouri Baptist in St. Louis, Missouri on Friday afternoon, September 16.

Dordt surrendered two first half goals to the hosts, one in the sixth minute and the other in the 23rd minute of play by Sarah O'Donnell and Courtney Young respectively.

Tara Postma found the goal for the Defenders on an unassisted goal in the 50th minute but the Defenders could never get the equalizer despite several chances.

Dordt outshot Missouri Baptist 18-8, putting ten on frame. Katie Kortman was in goal and made three saves.

Dordt is now 2-4 and has lost three games in a row by a goal each. Missouri Baptist is 1-5 overall. The Defenders will face Avila in Kansas City, Missouri on Saturday.
