(Fremont, Nebraska) Dordt College lost a 2-1 decision to Midland in women's Great Plains Athletic Conference action Saturday afternoon.

Dordt's Allison Hogan scored on a shot from 15 yards out and the score held up until halftime. Midland struck for two goals by Kayla Smelker in the 56th and 61st minute. The goal in the 61st minute was off a penalty kick for a Dordt College handball.

Katie Kortman faced 10 shots, six of them on goal and made four saves in the loss. Dordt had ten shots with nine of them on goal.

Dordt is now 7-3-1 and 2-2-1 in the conference. Midland improves to 6-2-2 overall and 4-1 in the GPAC. Dordt will host Sioux Falls on Tuesday, October 5 before traveling to Concordia on Saturday, October 9.
