Dordt College Women's Soccer vs. Morningside

(Sioux Center, Iowa) The Dordt College Defender women's soccer team scored a 2-0 win over Morningside Mustangs on Wednesday afternoon in Sioux Center, Iowa. Dordt scored one goal in each half for their sixth win in seven starts this season.

Dordt's first goal came in the ninth minute when Noelle Kreykes drove a shot over Morningside's Alyssa Reed off an assist by Morgan Rodenburgh. Rindy De Nooy gave Dordt a measure of insurance with a goal in the 71st minute on a penalty kick.

Dordt outshot the visitors 18-7 and had eight shots on goal to Morningside's three. Katie Kortman made three saves in goal for the Defenders in their first win of the conference season.

Dordt is 6-1 overall and 1-0 in the league while Morningside drops to 0-1 and 1-2-1 overall. Dordt will host Hastings on Saturday at 1:00 in its next outing.
