(Deerfield, Illinois) A Rindy De Nooy goal that curled in off a corner kick in the 12th minute was all the offense the Dordt College women's soccer team needed on Saturday, September 11 in a 1-0 win over Trinity International (Illinois). The game was the second in two days for the Defenders and was a rebound win after suffering their first loss of the season on Friday, a 1-0 loss to Aquinas in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

De Nooy's goal stood up as Dordt out shot Trinity International 6-5 on goal with Katie Kortman making five saves in goal for the Defenders. All of Trinity International's shots on goal came in the second half of play.

Dordt improves to 5-1 for the season while the Trojans are now 3-2. Dordt will host Morningside on Wednesday in a Great Plains Athletic Conference tussle at 3:00.
