Dordt College Women's Soccer vs. Cardinal Stritch

(Grand Rapids, Michigan) Dordt College suffered its first loss in women's soccer this season with a 1-0 loss to Aquinas College in Grand Rapids, Michigan Friday afternoon.

Aquinas scored the only goal of the day in the 57th minute when Lynsey Pelak found Teresa Buiocchi for a sharp angle shot to unlock the tie. Dordt's best chance to tie the game came in the 68th minute when Noelle Kreykes had a header that was saved.

Dordt was outshot 16-9 in the contest with Aquinas firing nine on goal. Dordt got four shots on goal with Aquinas getting a total of ten shots in the second half. Aquinas also forced the action for seven corner kicks--six of them in the second half.

Katie Kortman made eight saves in goal for Dordt while getting charged with the loss.

Dordt is now 4-1 while Aquinas improves to 1-4.

Dordt will face Trinity International in Deerfield, Illinois on Saturday at 11:00.
