Dordt College Women's Soccer vs. Mount Mercy

(Cedar Rapids, Iowa) A hat trick by Noelle Kreykes and two assists by Morgan Rodenburgh highlighted the Dordt Defender women's soccer win over Mount Mercy in Cedar Rapids, Iowa by a final score of 4-1.

Kreykes got the Defenders on the board in the 30th minute off an assist by Kelly Smies. The goal came less than two minutes after Dordt had a corner kick. Steph Cooper made it 2-0 in the 38th minute off an assist by Rodenburgh.

Up 2-0 at half the Dfenders gave themselves some breathing room with a goal by Kreykes that was unassisted in the 48th minute. Mount Mercy answered back shortly after with a Mackenzie Skay unassisted goal in the 50th minute but Kreykes salted the game away with her third goal, this one coming in the 59th minute off a Rodenburgh assist.

Dordt controlled play with 13 shots on goal while limiting Mount Mercy to four shots on goal. Katie Kortman made two saves in 76 minutes in goal for the Defenders and allowed one goal. Steph Goslinga played the final 14 minutes and made one save.

Dordt is now 4-0 to start the season and will travel to Trinity International (Illinois) and Aquinas (Michigan) this weekend. Mount Mercy drops to 1-2.
