Dordt College Women's Soccer vs. Waldorf

(Sioux Center, Iowa) For the third time in three games the Dordt College Defender women's soccer team surrendered one goal on defense with a 5-1 win over Waldorf (Iowa) in non-conference soccer on Tuesday.

The Defenders scored early and often with Noelle Kreykes getting one in off an assist by Lexi Elgersma on a give and go in the second minute. Rindy De Nooy scored in the sixth minute off an assist by Elise Wedel and Kelly Smies made it 3-0 in the 11th minute on an assist by Rindy De Nooy.

Two more goals in the first half by Rindy De Nooy and Heidi Rozenboom in the 28th and 40th minute put the game out of reach making it 5-0 at halftime.

Waldorf got a goal in the 75th minute to stave off the shut out in their first outing of the year.

Dordt outshot the Warriors 13-10 and mustered ten shots on goal with Waldorf firing off three. Katie Kortman and Steph Goslinga split the goalkeeping chores with one save each. Ashlee Kirkpatrick made three saves in the first half for Waldorf and Victoria Hanus had two in the second half.

Dordt will next face Mount Mercy (Iowa) on Saturday, September 4 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
