Dordt College Women's Soccer vs. Nebraska Wesleyan

October 24, 2009

(Sioux Center) The Defender women move to 14-1-1 overall and 8-1-1 in the GPAC as they defeated Nebraska Wesleyan by a score of 2-0 in a match up played in Sioux Center this afternoon.

Dordt got on the board in the 15th minute of play when Kristi Ouwinga headed home a Kate Du Mez corner kick to put Dordt up 1-0. The goal was Ouwinga's third of the year and Du Mez now has 8 assists. In spite of the 10 shots registered by the Defenders in the first half, the Ouwinga goal would be the only mark of the half. Dordt outshot the Prairie Wolves 10-0 in the first half.

Dordt would add to the lead in the second half as Morgan Rodenburgh neatly flicked the ball with her head onto a sprinting Rindy De Nooy. De Nooy took the pass and calmly tucked it into the right side of the goal in the 72nd minute of play.

Steph Goslinga recorded 2 saves in goal for Dordt on 2 NWU shots while Sara Perdew had 6 saves in net for Nebraska Wesleyan.
