Dordt College Women's Soccer vs. Hastings

(Hastings, NE) The Dordt College Defender women's soccer team played to a 1-1 stalemate with the Hastings College Broncos on the road Saturday, October 17.

Dordt scored first when Rindy De Nooy scored in the 34th minute for a 1-0 lead. The goal was unassisted.

Hastings got the equalizer in the 50th minute when Jessica Carlson scored on an assist by Casey Friesen for the 1-1 tie that stood to the end of regulation and two-ten minute overtime sessions.

Dordt managed the tie despite getting out-shot on goal 6-2. Steph Goslinga made five saves to help preserve the tie.

Dordt is now 12-1-1 overall and 6-1-1 in the league. Hastings is 10-2-3 overall and 5-1-3 in the conference.

Dordt travels to Sioux Falls on Wednesday, October 21 and return home for a game with Nebraska Wesleyan on October 24.
