Dordt College Women's Soccer vs. Jamestown College

(Sioux Center) The Dordt women's soccer team knocked off the Jamestown Jimmies 3-1 in non-conference play today to improve their season mark to 12-1.
Noelle Kreykes (Junior; St. John, Indiana) go the scoring started when she finished after receiving a great pass from junior defender Heidi Rozenboom (Sioux Falls, SD) in the 32nd minute of play. The score would remain 1-0 as the teams went in to half-time.
Kate Du Mez (Senior; Brookfield, Wisconsin) tallied her 14th goal of the season when she blasted a ball past the Jimmies keeper in the 57th minute. Despite being down two goals Jamestown battled hard and just 3 minutes after the Du Mez goal, cut the lead back down to 1 when Celence Eccles ripped a ball over the arms of the Dordt keeper in the 60th minute.
Kreykes would add a second goal(her third of the year)on the afternoon when she beat the Jamestown defenders after receiving a well struck pass from freshman midfielder Elise Wedel (Buhler, Kansas) in the 70th minute. The assist was Wedel's 4th of the year.
Dordt outshot the Jimmies 16-5 on the afternoon and Angela Veches registered 3 saves for Jamestown while Steph Goslinga (Junior; Orange City, IA) recorded one save for Dordt College.
Dordt will have almost a week off before heading to Hastings on Saturday, October 17 to resume GPAC play at 3:00 pm.
