Dordt College Women's Soccer vs. College of St. Mary

(Sioux Center) The Dordt College Defender women's soccer team moved to 4-0 for the season with a 4-2 win over the College of Saint Mary Flames.
The Defenders gave up a 2-0 lead in the second half before responding with two goals in less than a minute to get the win. Dordt opened the scoring on a Kate Du Mez shot in the first half 20:22 into the half and the score stood till halftime. In the second half the Defenders got on the board when Kelly Smies cleaned up on a shot in front of the goal after a corner kick.
The College of Saint Mary got two goals in the 68th and 72nd minute to tie it but the tie was short lived as Kate Du Mez scored a pair in the 73rd minute--both unassisted to give the Defenders the winning margin.
Dordt outshot the Flames 15-10 with Steph Goslinga recording two saves and the College of Saint Mary Flames' keepers had three saves.
Dordt will play Morningside in a non-conference game at home on Saturday at 3:15 pm.
