(Fremont, Nebraska) The Dordt College Defender women's soccer team completed their perfect run through the Great Plains Athletic Conference with a 2-0 win over the Midland Lutheran Warriors on Saturday, November 1 in Fremont, Nebraska.

The Defenders' Kate Du Mez curled in a shot from 40 yards out to open the scoring in the 19th minute and the teams went to halftime with the 1-0 difference. Noelle Kreykes cracked a shot from 28 yards out in the 56th minute for a 2-0 lead with Midland Lutheran countering with a goal in the 65th minute for the final of 2-1.

Jenna Noteboom recorded four saves in goal for the Defenders while Dordt had five shots on goal. Beth Russell was in goal for the Warriors.

Dordt finishes the regular season with a 15-1 mark, the best record in school history, and are a perfect 12-0 in conference play, winning their second women's team soccer title in school history.

Midland Lutheran drops to 8-4 in the GPAC and 10-6-1 overall.

The pairings for the Great Plains Athletic Conference post-season tournament will be released late Saturday night. Dordt will host a quarterfinal round game on Tuesday at 2:00 against the #8 seed. The Defenders will host any game they play in during the GPAC tournament as the number one seed.
