Dordt College Women's Soccer vs. Sioux Falls

(Sioux Center, Iowa) The Dordt College Defender women's soccer team ran their season record to 14-1 and their Great Plains Athletic Conference record to 11-0 with a 2-0 win over the Sioux Falls Cougars in a game played in Sioux Center, Iowa, Thursday, October 30.
The Defenders scored a goal in the 19th minute off a Lindsay Baker shot that found the back of the net. The goal was set up by a corner kick by Dordt with the south wind which was prevailing most of the game. Kate Du Mez's corner kick ricocheted off several players before Baker was able to finish it for the 1-0 lead.
Dordt then got an insurance goal when Rindy De Nooy cracked a shot from twenty yards which curled above the leaping save effort by Sioux Falls' Alixandria Hood. Dordt then preserved the shutout, holding Sioux Falls scoreless for the remaining 20 minutes.
Dordt's Jenna Noteboom had five saves and faced six shots while Hood registered three saves, facing five shots on frame and 11 total Dordt shots.
Dordt has now won fourteen games in a row and have one game remaining, a contest against Midland Lutheran in Fremont, Nebraska on Saturday, November 1. Dordt will host a Great Plains Athletic Conference quarterfinal round game on Tuesday, November 4.
