(Sioux Center, Iowa) The Lady Defenders kept their conference title hopes alive with a 4-1 victory over the Lady Broncos today. The win brings the women's record to 11-1 overall and 8-0 in GPAC play.

Although Dordt had a number of good opportunites in the first 45 minute session they were unable to tally until the final minute of the half when Rindy DeNooy slipped the ball into the back of the net off a pass from Lexi Elgersma.

Dordt striker Noelle Kreykes would score the next two for DC as she headed home a Kate DuMez corner kick in the 52nd minute and scored 11 minutes later when Lindsay Baker sent her in on break-away.

Hastings kept it a game when Magdalena Cortez cracked a ball from distance into the back of the Dordt goal with 15 minutes remaining to cut the lead to 3-1. Lexi Elgersma added a goal to her assist when she scored on a ball played in by Lindsay Baker in the final minute of play.

Dordt will next play on Wednesday, October 25 at home at 2:00 pm as they play host to Sioux Falls.
