(Sioux Center, Iowa) The Dordt College Women's soccer team brought their winning streak to eight this afternoon with a 2-1 victory over Dana College on a beautiful sunny day in Sioux Center, IA.

Rindy DeNooy (Sioux Center,IA), a freshman striker got the first tally for Dordt when she finished a ball sent in to her from junior midfielder Kate DuMez (Brookfield, WI) in the 17th minute of play.

The Dana Viking women got the equalizer only eight minutes later when Emily Becker finished off a ball that rebounded off of the Dordt keeper in the 25th minute of play.

It looked like the two teams would enter half-time with the score knotted at 1-1 but Kate DuMez got her 9th goal of the season in the 43rd minute to break the tie with what would turn out to be the game winning goal.

Although Dordt played into a stiff breeze for the entire second half they managed to hold Dana from scoring and currently sit atop the GPAC with a 6-0 record.

Dordt outshot the Vikings 15-7 in the contest and Dordt freshman goalkeeper Jenna Noteboom had three saves for the Lady Defenders.
