Dordt College Women's Soccer vs. York

(York, Nebraska) The Dordt College Defender women's soccer team earned their second win of the week in three tries with a 2-0 win over York College in York, Nebraska for a non-conference win. Dordt scored one goal in the first half and had another in the second while not surrendering a goal to the Panthers.

Noelle Kreykes scored a goal with nine minutes left in the first half on a corner kick by Kate Du Mez for a 1-0 halftime edge.

Playing with the 1-0 lead, the Defenders tacked one on for insurance when Du Mez scored off a free kick that glanced off the York goalkeeper with sixteen minutes left for the 2-0 final.

Dordt got nine shots off on goal while the Dordt defense surrendered two shots on goal in registering the shutout.

Dordt is 7-5-1 overall and will travel to Doane in Crete, Nebraska on Thursday, October 18 at 4:00.
