(Sioux Center, Iowa) The Dordt College Defender women's soccer team lost a 3-1 Great Plains Athletic Conference soccer game on Saturday in Sioux Center to the Midland Lutheran Warriors.

The Warriors scored in the first half for a 1-0 halftime lead and tacked on two more goals in the second half with Dordt getting a counter by Kate Du Mez for their only score of the game. Du Mez's goal was unassisted.

Three different players, Hilary Hansen, Natasha Heil and Amanda Grable each had a goal for Midland Lutheran. Dordt outshot the Warriors 13-12 with eight of those shots on goal. The Warriors had nine shots on goal. Rina Mychackavane earned the win in goal making seven saves while Dordt's Rosalyn De Pooter had six saves.

Midland Lutheran moves to 6-0-1 and is 9-0-2 overall and stand as the top team in both the GPAC and NAIA Region III. Dordt slips to 3-3-1 in the league and 5-4-1 overall.
