Dordt College Women's Soccer vs. Concordia (NE)

(Sioux Center, Iowa) The Dordt College Defenders recovered from two seperate deficits this afternoon to take a 4-2 win over the visiting Concordia Bulldogs in Great Plains Athletic Conference women's soccer.

The Bulldogs scored almost immediately when Carolyn Chrzan scored eight minutes into the game on a pass from Bethia Barone. Dordt tied the game in the 30th minute when Kate Du Mez took a pass from Liz Brand in the middle for a 1-1 tie at halftime.

Chrzan then scored unassisted three minutes into the second half for another Concordia lead but the Defenders kept peppering the goal and broke through with a Lindsay Baker goal in teh 50th minute off an assist from Lex Elgersma and then took the lead for good when Sarah Sikkema banged a shot off a Concordia player in teh 52nd minute.

The Defenders got a goal for insurance in the 72nd minute when Noelle Kreykes scored her first collegiate goal off an assist by Du Mez on a crossing pass.

Dordt's Rosalyn De Pooter made two saves in goal for the win while Dordt outshot Concordia 16-7. Dordt is now 4-1 and 2-0 in the GPAC while the contest was Concordia's first league decision of the season.
