Dordt College Women's Soccer vs. Morningside

(Sioux City, Iowa) The Dordt College Defender women's soccer team's season came to an end Monday afternoon, November 6, in the NAIA Region III semifinal round against the host of the semifinals and finals, Morningside.
The Mustangs got two first half goals to stand up on the way to a 2-1 decision, Morningside's 14th win of the season.
Brooke Niles, the GPAC player of the year, scored 38 minutes into the game off an assist from Maggie Kukuk and followed that goal up with a second goal five minutes later off an assist from Ashley Hugel.
Dordt got on the board with 26 minutes remaining when a corner kick by Suzanne Clark was pushed into the net by fellow senior, Heather Otten. The Defenders took a total of seven shots, four of them on goal while the hosts had 12 shots, four of them on goal. Mallory Foster made two saves while Morningside's Kelly Berst made three saves.
Morningside moves on to the finals to face either Northwestern or Midland Lutheran who played late Monday afternoon in Sioux City. The Region III champion advances to the NAIA National Championships November 15-21 at Olathe, Kansas.
