Dordt College Women's Soccer vs. Dakota Wesleyan

(Sioux Center, Iowa) The Dordt College women's soccer team soundly defeated Dakota Wesleyan on Tuesday, October 17 by a final score of 5-0. Dordt was relentless from the start, using a solid bench and the wind to their advantage.
The first goal was scored with 38 minutes left in the first half by Heather Kooistra on a cross from the right side. Heather Otten scored off an assist from Anna Bos from the middle of the box three minutes later to make it 2-0.
Keeping the pressure on, the Defenders got a blast from Suzanne Clark from the 18 with 31:00 remaining in the half. Heather Kooistra got her second goal of the day on a rebound at the 8 minute mark and Kate Du Mez tacked on the final goal of the half, and the game for that matter with 3:00 remaining on a turn around shot from 18.
Dordt outshot the visitors 21-1 with Mallory Foster making one save in goal for the Defenders in their sixth win of the season.
Dordt is now 6-5 in the Great Plains Athletic Conference and 6-9-1 overall while Dakota Wesleyan dropped to 2-8-1 in the league and 2-12-1 overall.
