Dordt College Women's Soccer vs. Graceland

(Lamoni, Iowa) The 20th rated Graceland YellowJacket women's soccer team scored three second-half goals in this afternoon's non-conference soccer game with the Dordt College Defenders in Lamoni, Iowa.

After a scoreless first half, the hosts broke through with a goal from Hiroki Yamauchi with 15 minutes gone in the second half. Leesa Church then scored back to back goals to seal the win as the Defenders were unable to penetrate the YellowJacket defense.

Mallory Foster stopped three shots and faced a total of 21 Graceland attempts. Dordt College was outshot 21-11.

Dordt College drops to 5-9-1 overall while Graceland improves to 12-1.

The Defenders will host Dakota Wesleyan on Tuesday, October 17 beginning at 2:00 in their second to last game of the regular season. The Defenders are currently 5-5 in the Great Plains Athletic Conference and still entertain a potential berth in the NAIA Region III tournament.

The game Saturday marked the second game of the week where Dordt faced a rated foe, tying 12th rated Bellevue on Monday.
