Dordt College Women's Soccer vs. Bellevue

(Bellevue, Nebraska) The Dordt College Defender women's soccer team earned a 1-1 double overtime tie with the seventh-rated (NAIA) Bellevue Bruins in Bellevue, Nebraska on Monday night.

Bellevue struck first for a goal 25 minutes into the game for a 1-0 lead. Dordt hung close and finally broke through on a goal by Anne Oppeneer with 12 minutes left in regulation off an assist from Kate Du Mez. After two scoreless ten minute overtime sessions the game ended in a draw.

Dordt is now 4-8-1 overall while Bellevue is 12-1-1. The tie snapped a nine game winning streak for the Bruins.
