Dordt College Women's Soccer vs. Briar Cliff

(Sioux City, Iowa) Dordt College defeated Briar Cliff in Sioux City 2-1, giving the Defenders their second conference victory on the season.

Both teams went scoreless in the first half. Dordt's Kate Du Mez scored the openeing goal of the game six minutes into the 2nd half. Assisting Du Mez was Suzanne Clark, who went on to score of a penalty kick with 29 remaining in the game. A ball deflected off of a Dordt player opened the way for Briar Cliff's Kristian Ruhiman, who dribbled in for a free kick. Her goal came with 27 minutes left to play.

With four minutes left on the gameclock, Briar Cliff had a chance to tie the game in a one-on-on situation with Dordt's goalkeeper Mallory Foster. Foster made the save, giving Dordt their second victory on the season.
