(Sioux Center, Iowa) The Dordt College Lady Defenders advanced past the Region IV semifinal test today with a 2-0 win over Friends (Kansas) University.
The Lady Defenders scored first on a Beth De Jonge goal with 11:48 gone in the game off a crossing pass from Bethany Nishimoto. The two teams could get no offense in the next 77 minutes with Dordt finally ending the drought with 3:40 remaining on a pas from Abbie Soodsma to Nishimoto for a short shot.
Larissa Brown worked in goal and faced one shot.
