(Vermillion, South Dakota) Dordt was the first to get on the board taking a 1-0 lead with 25:00 left in the game. USD scored a goal ten minutes later to knot the score and eventually send it to overtime.

USD won the game in the extra session, scoring 5:00 into sudden death overtime to improve to 3-1. The Lady Defenders' Larissa Brown had 9 saves in the loss.
