Dordt College Women's Soccer vs. Dana

(Blair, Nebraska) The Dordt College Lady Defender soccer team advanced to the NAIA Region IV semifinals with a 2-1 win over the Dana Vikings in quarterfinal action on Tuesday.

Bethany Nishimoto got credit for the first goal of the game when Dana's goalie fumbled a save into her own goal twenty minutes into the game.

The Lady Defenders took a 2-0 lead when Abbie Soodsma scored on an unassisted goal early in the second half.

The Lady Vikings fought back to score with 25:00 minutes left on a corner kick but the Lady Defenders were able to hold the hosts off the rest of the way.

This was the third game these two teams have played since October 24 with Dordt reversing a pair of losses by scores of 2-0 and 1-0.

Larissa Brown earned the win in goal for Dordt College.
