Dordt College Women's Soccer vs. Jamestown

(Home (Playoffs)) The Lady Defenders of Dordt College opened Independent Great Plains Regional playoff action at home today with a 4-1 win over JamestownCollege of North Dakota in the quarter-finals. Dordt scored three first half goals and held a 3-0 lead at halftime. Heather Broekhuis scored Dordt’s first goal with 35:03 left in the first stanza (assist- Heather Williams). The Lady Defenders made it 2-0 when Sarah Vriend scored an unassisted goal with 29:23 left. Vreind scored again unassisted on a deflection in the goal box at 26:58 left in the first half to make it 3-0. In the second half Kalie Gakill scored her tenth goal of the year with 37:05 left in the game (assist- Heather Williams) to make it 4-0. Dordt had 18 shots on goal for the afternoon. Jamestown scored one goal, on one shot in the game, with 21:32 left in the game. Cara Davis scored on an assist from Lisa Westman.
