Dordt College Men's Soccer vs. Dakota Wesleyan

(Mitchell, SD (Pepsi Soccer Complex)) The Dordt College Defender men’s soccer team got a late goal to force an overtime and ended up fighting to a 1-1 double overtime tie on the road with Dakota Wesleyan in Mitchell, South Dakota on Tuesday night, October 1.
Mike Haight got a goal through in the 12th minute to give the Tigers a 1-0 lead. That score stood until the 86th minute when Braden Graves scored off an assist by Brady Van Holland. The teams went the next 24 minutes without scoring and the game ended in a stalemate.
Dordt was outshot on goal 8-6 with Jon Brinkerhoff making seven saves in goal. Dordt had 15 shots total and Dakota Wesleyan had 20. Dordt got a shot on goal in the first overtime and Wesleyan had one in the second extra session.
Dordt is now 2-7-1 overall and 0-1-1 in league play while Dakota Wesleyan is 6-2-2 and 1-0-1. Dordt travels to Concordia on Saturday for its next GPAC action.
