(Hastings, Nebraska) Dordt College held a lead until the 53rd minute and lost a 3-1 decision to the Hastings Broncos on Saturday night in Hastings, Nebraska.

Dordt got its goal in the 20th minute when Josh Brinkerhoff off an assist by Brady Van Holland. The 1-0 advantage held until the 53rd minute when Jordan Green scored the first goal of two goals, scoring another at the 58th minute on a penalty kick. The Broncos got an insurance goal in the 66th minute when Felix Proessel scored on an assist by Leon Brudy.

Dordt was outshot on goal 10-2 with Jon Brinkerhoff making seven saves.

Dordt finishes the regular season with a 10-7-1 record and are 6-3-1 in GPAC play. Hastings closed a 12-6 regular season and won the GPAC title with a 9-1 mark. Both teams await their post-season assignment with tournament play opening on Thursday, November 1. Dordt will host a GPAC quarterfinal round game. The Defenders can finish no worse than fourth in the final standings.
