(Columbia, Missouri) Dordt College scored first but the Columbia Cougars scored two unanswered goals to win a 2-1, non-conference, men's soccer game on Saturday afternoon in Columbia, Missouri.
Dordt's Josh Brinkerhoff started the scoring with a goal in the 11th minute off assists by Scott Van Wylen and Brady Van Holland.
Columbia evened the score on a Rafael Ramos goal in the 38th minute and the game winner by Zachary Opland came in the 54th minute.
Dordt was outshot on goal 7-3 with Jon Brinkerhoff making five saves in goal for Dordt in the loss that evened the Defender record at 6-6. Dordt's next contest is a home test with Dakota Wesleyan on Wednesday, October 10. Columbia, the 8th rated team in the country, is now 10-0-3 and stand 4-0-1 in the American Midwest Conference.
