(Lincoln, Nebraska) Dordt College lost a 3-1 decision to Nebraska Wesleyan on Saturday night in Lincoln, Nebraska. The Defenders dropped their second GPAC game in a row, falling to 1-2 in the league and 5-5 overall.
Colby Twist scored the first two goals of the game in the 33rd and 42nd minutes for a 2-0 halftime lead. Luke Lyons made it 3-0 in the 54th minute.
Steven Talsma helped Dordt avert the shutout with an unassisted goal in the 84th minute.
Wesleyan put nine shots on goal to seven for the Defenders. Jon Brinkerhoff made six saves in goal in the loss. Dordt will host Mount Marty on Tuesday afternoon in its next action. Wesleyan improves to 5-4-1 overall and 2-1 in the league.
