Dordt College Men's Soccer vs. Trinity Christian: Pizza Ranch Classic

(Sioux Center, Iowa) Derick Sackey found the goal for the first time this season in the fifth minute of the first overtime to give the Dordt College Defenders a 2-1 win over Trinity Christian (Illinois) on Saturday in Sioux Center, Iowa.
Dordt College needed drama to get the win, scoring in the 88th minute to tie it and send it to extra time. Scott Van Wylen scored off an assist by David Miedema at the end of regulation, equalizing the goal that Trinity Christian got from Jordi Rubio in the 21st minute of the non-conference tilt.
Dordt outshot the visitors 25-14, putting 13 shots on frame while the Trolls had six on goal. Jon Brinkherhoff had five saves for the winners.
Dordt is 2-0 and will face Avila (Kansas) on Friday, September 7 in Sioux Center.
