Dordt College Men's Soccer vs. Missouri Baptist

(St. Louis, MO) The Dordt Defender men's soccer team got a closing moments goal by Scott Van Wylen to take a 2-1 win over Missouri Baptist on Friday afternoon, September 16.

Van Wylen scored in the 14th minute off an assist by Derick Sackey for a 1-0 lead. The hosts got an equalizer in the 51st minute from Joseph Whitacre setting up the dramatics in the 87th minute with Van Wylen scoring the game winner unassisted.

Dordt was outshot 22-17 and both teams had seven shots on goal. Brian Verwolf worked for the win in goal with six saves.

Dordt is 5-0 while the Spartans are 0-6-1.
