Dordt College Men's Soccer vs. Doane

(Crete, NE) Doane College scored three first half goals in taking a 3-0 decision from Dordt in Great Plains Athletic Conference play on Saturday, October 22 in Crete, Nebraska.

The Tigers scored in the fourth, 14th and 29th minutes for their fifth win of the conference season and handed Dordt its fourth loss in a row in conference place.

Devon Strecker scored in the fourth and 29th minutes to sandwich a goal by Sean Dougherty in the 14th minute.

Dordt was outshot 6-3 on goal and 16-10 total with Phil Nywening getting two of Dordt's shots on goal. Brian Verwolf made three saves while working goal for the Defenders.

Dordt is 11-5 overall and 3-5 in the GPAC with two games to go. Doane is 7-8 and 5-3. Dordt is scheduled to travel to Morningside on Tuesday night in GPAC play.
