(Mitchell, SD) Hugo Gonzalez scored on a free kick in the 106th minute to lead Dakota Wesleyan to a 2-1 Great Plains Athletic Conference triumph over the Dordt Defenders in men's soccer play Wednesday night in Mitchell, South Dakota.

Dordt got a goal in the last minute of the first half when Josh Brinkerhoff scored on an unassisted goal for a 1-0 lead. The hosts mounted a push right away in the second half with Nick Sterling scoring off a Gonzalez assist in the 51st minute.

The stalemate extended to a second overtime with Gonzalez winning it after the Dordt foul in the 106th minute.

Dordt was outshot 10-9 on goal with Brian Verwolf making eight saves for the Defenders.

Dordt is now 11-2 overall and 3-2 in the league while Dakota Wesleyan improves to 3-2 in the league and 6-7 overall.
