(Seward, NE) Dordt College lost for the first time in the 2011 season with a 4-1 defeat at the hands of the Concordia Bulldogs in Seward, Nebraska on Saturday afternoon.
Dordt gave up three first half goals on the way to a 3-1 halftime deficit and allowed a late goal for the final score.
Dordt's score came in the 34th minute when Brady Van Holland got one in with the Defenders down 3-0. Dordt allowed goals in the fourth, 13th and 20th minutes and surrendered the final goal in the 85th minute.
Four different players scored for Concordia. The Bulldogs had a 19-9 shots advantage and put seven shots on goal to Dordt's two. Brian Verwolf made three saves while Chris Podlich had one save for the hosts.
Dordt is 7-1 and will face Northwestern Tuesday night in Sioux Center while Concordia is 6-1-1 and is off to a 1-0 start in GPAC play.
